God and Time

There is great news in the scientific community of the first recorded sound of two neutron stars colliding. One amazing thing about this event is that this is not when the stars have collided. They collided 130,000,000 years ago but the ripples of gravitational waves which resulted from the blast have just reached us! Space must be immensely huge!

Think of it, if a wave of an event has taken 130,000,000  years to ripple through space to reach us, and  there is God who transcends this space, then surely a thousand years is as a day, and a day as a thousand years to him! (2 Pet.3:8).

Note: Gravitational waves do not produce sound. However, scientists are able to convert their frequencies into audio format which we can hear.
